wow, it has been nearly a month and a half of no blogging! hmm, busy much? Life has been so crazy! I am absolutely loving my job and have been doing many freelance projects on the side, which hasn't left much time to blog. BUT i want to update y'all on some latest designs- there are so many more to come, but here are a few- :) hope you all had a fantastic thanksgiving (mine was spent in omaha with my great family) and a very very merry Christmas!

blue blue blue

so as you might have noticed from fashion week about a month ago or any magazine lately, blue is in... big time. jewel tones have always been trendy during the fall season, but this season people can't seem to get enough of the deep, royal or cobalt blues! so i thought i would try a monochromatic look (with accents of gold), another trend this season, using only shades of blue. what do you lovelies think about my blue look?? also, check out the CUTEST nail tutorial ever, it's so easy and very adorable.

do i have some major news for you lovelies! wondering about the title, eh? yes, strange you would see that "employment" word on my blog. but guess what?! I HAVE A JOB!!!!! see ya later unemployment, although days of sleeping in and having no purpose was nice... i am moving on to bigger and better things.

i am officially the Director of Media and a Graphic Designer (my title is a work in progress) for Ce!ebrate Magazine! WOOHOOOOOO!!

i am so beyond thrilled with this job! i LOVE the girls i work with and am already designing some fun little things for the magazine... here's a taste (what's on our website... yes, i just said OUR because i'm a part of the team (eeeek)...) - so so much more to come!

wow, i cannot believe it has been so long since i've last posted on my lovely little blog! has time flown by or what? this last month of summer has been so fun- i have finished nannying my sweet boys, have began a serious job hunt (if you know of any graphic designers needed... i am your girl!), put a new print in Riffraff and helped my little sis move into college (WIERD!). so to catch y'all up on the last month of my life, i thought i would do a post of pictures.

i am so overwhelmed by the response i got with my little hair tutorial (y'all are so lovely)- i will most definitely be making more of those i think! once again, i am a little late on posting in a timely manner... i do promise i will get better. anyway loves, here is a design i finished a little while ago. this was such a fun 3-piece design to work on because not only is it for a dear friend of mine, but it is also a beach wedding! so ta-da! what do you think?

i'm beginning to realize how hard it's going to be to maintain my blogger spirit during the summer months! anyone else feel this way also? between nannying, working on a few projects i've got going, the billions of weddings i am either in or going to, and just enjoying the months of sun... i have been slacking in the blogging world. i do promise, love, that i am going to try and do my best though! anyway, after being posted on my facebook page for a while, i am finally debuting my friend Tanja's (check out her blog, photographybytanja) 4-piece wedding invitation! 

what do you lovelies all think?? i loved the way it turned out- it was so fun to layer these colorful patterns and lace. i also LOVED being able to incorporate some of the owls i drew in my sketch book- i scanned them in and then digitally colored them :)

gaga inspired

as i'm waiting to get the okay to post a few brand new graphics i did for a recent client, i thought i'd share a gaga inspired "have a better day" type of card! it's not done, i'm not sure if i will actually print it... but who hasn't been inspired by gaga here recently with her cd release? i mean, seriously. i watched mtv's latest interview "inside the outside" (which you should all watch) and was further convinced i needed to do something inspired and dedicated to her.

so here it is... the unfinished pick-me-up greeting card- haha, like i said, i'm not sure if i will print it... don't know if anyone would purchase such a card as this.

let me know what you honestly think, love (keep in mind it is not finished). would you but something like this?? i need feedback :) what kind of card would you buy?

i feel as if this introduction (or should i say re-introduction) needs an exclamation point since it has been SOO unexcusably long since i've last posted! geesh! between moving, graduating, my little sis graduating and family in town (love to my biggest fans grandpa and grandma)... i have been crazy busy.

my little sister is GRADUATING!!!

my baby sister is graduating high school!!! so so crazy! i love her to bits, and am so excited for her to start the next season of life as a college student (is it weird that i'm slightly jealous, oh to go back to freshman year college! what a blast!!)-- hello arkansas razorback! so, me being the graphic designer that i am, offered my services to create a graduation announcement for her. what do you think?
